I opened an account and it has been locked?

All new customers identity needs to be verified to prevent fraud and it is not always possible to do this immediately. Simply contact customer services and it can be resolved, although you might need to fax / email ID.

One Way Poker player's accounts are managed by Blue Square - if you already have an existing Blue Square account you will not be able to play on One Way Poker and your account will be locked.

Which currencies can I play in?

When you open a One Way Poker account you will be asked to choose one of the following currencies:

UK Pounds Sterling
Australian Dollars
Euro
Japanese Yen
Singapore Dollars
US dollars
Canadian Dollars

This cannot be changed at a later date. While your account may be held in any of the above currencies, all games in the poker room are played in US dollars.

Are the games fair?

Our poker software carries an official Certificate of RNG Evaluation from Technical Systems Testing (TST), an internationally recognized and respected Accredited Testing Facility (ATF). It is also regularly checked and certified by the Association of British Bookmakers (ABB), the leading trade association representing UK bookmakers.

Security and Integrity

We value your business and won't risk compromising the security and integrity of our poker room. We use a sophisticated random number generation, 128-bit encryption and anti-collusion software to ensure that a high level of security is maintained at all times.

Do you have a loyalty scheme?

We have a loyalty programme to reward loyal players with cash rewards. You can find out more about collecting and exchanging "One Way Points" by clicking here .

Can I play more than one table at a time?

You may play up to eight tables at a time.

What measures do you take against people who are being rude or offensive?

It depends on the severity of the incident, but usually after the first offence, a player will be given a warning one by one of our hosts. Repeat offenders will be punished with the suspension or permanent loss of player chat privileges. In severe cases players may be banned from using the poker room altogether. The best way to avoid confrontational situations that may result in a chat suspension or ban is to treat all your fellow players with respect and be polite at all times... even if your pocket Aces have just been outdrawn by a pair of threes.

Can I see what games look like before I start to play?

Yes. As long as you have downloaded and installed the poker room client you can watch other games without participating. Simply select the table you wish to observe from the table lists or from a multi-table tournament lobby screen.

What's the difference between cash games and tournaments?

Cash games and tournaments are two different ways to play poker. The One Way poker room offers both. In tournament poker you pay an entrance fee and take part in a last-man-standing knockout competition whereas in cash games you play with real money and can leave the table at anytime.

Why do I sometimes experience a slow or interrupted connection?

This could be due to many things: modem failure; ISP failure; problem with your PC or a server interruption.

What do I do if the game freezes or I lose my connection?

If you lose your connection, the game will wait a period of time for you to reconnect. In limit cash games, if you fail to re-connect, your hand will be deemed All-In. This means your last bet will be deemed to be taken as a bet made with your last chips, then the hand will be completed. If you win, you will be credited with whatever monies are in the main pot. A side pot will be played for by the other players. If you are not able to re-establish your connection in a timely manner, your chips will be automatically deposited to your account for you. In the unlikely event of the game freezing as a result of a server error, the hand will continue from where it left off after the server has been restarted. If you do not rejoin the hand, any money you may have bet will be refunded.

If I run out of chips, can I get some more?

Yes. In cash games you can only purchase more chips after the hand you are currently involved in is over.

How do I tell how much is in a pot?

The amount of money in the Active Pot and Current Total Pot is displayed at the top of the table above the One Way Poker logo. This display can be toggled on and off in the options section and so if it is not visible then try changing the settings.

What is a side pot and who can win it?

When there are three or more players in a hand and one of the players is all-in, any further betting that takes place between the remaining players is known as the side pot. The all-in player cannot win the side pot but can win the main pot.

What is the rake?

Rake is the money retained from a pot by the House (One Way Poker) in a cash game. Usually this is a small percentage of the total size of the pot.

How much is the rake?

Why has my chat facility been removed?

We ask all players to refrain from using foul or offensive language and to treat other players with respect at all times. Players who fail to do so may have their chat privileges suspended temporarily or permanently.

Why can I not log on to One Way Poker?

If you cannot log on please first check that you have entered the correct screen name and password and try again. If you are still unable to log in, please contact customer services.

Can I use more than one payment method on my account?

Customers have the option of having up to three payment methods active at any stage. We currently accept most Credit and Debit Cards, Moneybookers, Neteller and Ukash Vouchers

How do I add a new payment method?

Providing you do not already have three payment methods registered, each time you deposit, you will be given the option of adding a new payment method.

Why must I name each payment method?

Customers must give each payment method a nickname. This is to help customers identify which payment method they are using. Each nickname must be unique. You may edit the nickname of any payment method, provided it is unique.

How can I deposit if I already have 3 payment methods, and I wish to use another? Can I remove a payment method?

You may unregister a card at any time providing you have no outstanding balance across all our products, no unsettled bets and your net deposit for that payment method is zero

What are 'net deposits'?

Your net deposits for each payment method are your previous deposits minus your previous withdrawals.

Example

Robert has registered a Credit Card (robcredit), a Debit Card (robdebit) and his Neteller Account (robneteller) as payment methods. He has deposited and withdrawn the following...

  Deposits   Withdrawls   Net Deposits
robcredit 1000   500   500
robdebit 400   400   0
robneteller 500   100   400

Should Robert wish to add a new payment method, he could remove his debit card, as the Net Deposits are zero. He would not however, be able to remove either of the other two.

What happens when my card expires?

As soon as your card expires, you may remove it yourself, regardless of the Net Deposit status. Simply click on the ‘Update’ link. You will be required to answer some security questions.

I no longer have my card and need to remove it. What can I do?

If no longer able to use one of your payment methods, for example, if you have been issued with a new card by your bank you will need to contact our customer service team. The helpdesk is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can contact us via Live Chat, Email, or Telephone - please see the links at the top of this page.

How do I withdraw my winnings?

In order to withdraw your winnings, simply visit the ‘My Account’ section, choose which card/payment method you wish to return the funds to and enter the amount you wish to withdraw.

Why am I unable to withdraw all my winnings to my chosen payment method?

We may not always be able to return your winnings via your method of choice. You will be required to withdraw back at least the amount deposit via each payment method before any additional funds can be withdrawn. We may have to send a portion of your withdrawal to your chosen payment method, then allocate the rest as we see fit. You will be informed of this before the withdrawal is processed.

If we consider the following example…

  Deposits   Withdrawls   Net Deposits
robcredit 1000   500   500
robdebit 400   400   0
robneteller 500   100   400

Let us imagine Robert wins £1000 playing Roulette. He may not withdraw his full balance to his Credit Card. He must first withdraw £500 to ‘robcredit’, and £400 to ‘robneteller’. Robert is then free to withdraw the remaining £100 as he wishes.

If your withdrawals are not successful for any reason, you will be informed immediately, and you may need to contact customer services for assistance.

My net deposit on one of my payment methods is less than the minimum withdrawal. How will you treat my withdrawals?

If your net deposit is less than the minimum withdrawal then we will ignore it when deciding whether It is necessary to split a withdrawal over multiple payment methods.

I cannot deposit using my chosen payment method with my mobile phone. What can I do?

Unfortunately customers can only deposit or withdraw with Credit or Debit cards when using our mobile products. Furthermore, you will need to deposit or withdraw using the Card you used most recently. You will need to log on to our Website in order to use an alternative payment method. This also applies to customers using our telephone betting service.
